I belive everybody in the Ready Room know Roman Troyan as he became the main third party suppliers for Blood Red Skies fans. He is with us for - as far I remember - three years. Since Sep 2020 he launched hundrets of 1/200 warplanes projects (and counting) which are known from its top quality. His models are both scale respecting and robust which means best fitted to our game.
As the original Blood Red Skies supplier doesn't spoil BRS players with a new models, the perspectives for independent designers as Roman are optimistic. Having many projects done, someone (as me) would ask what next? Which projects are hot, what kind of models are the most awaited by the players? That's why I decided to run small survey on our Readyroom group and collect some feedback. So here are the results:
37 the number of different projects named by respondents. As the Roman launching one model a week it is an inspiration for nine months.
3 the most awaited projects gathered 20% of all responses and - I think - they are worth to consider.
The winner
Spitfire Mk XIV grabbed the highest number of votes. There are some reasons to have one more Spitfire in own collection.
- Spitfire Mk XIV is the only fighter plane from the original RAF expansion pack without model available.
- We need Spitfire Mk XIV as a top speed and great climb late war RAF fighter
- Spitfire Mk XIV is different from the Spitfire family (engine cowling, wing shape)
Number two
... also Spitfire, but Mk IX. Someone would say. This is too much! There is the Mk IX Spitfire in the main supplier portfolio. Ups, not anymore. As the Warlord closing metal ranges (at last!) the hitherto Spitfire was withrown but haven't replaced with new resin yet. So why we need the Mk IX Spitfire?
- Spitfire Mk IX was widely used on the different theatres (from England, through Africa, Russia to Far East) by the different users (British, Australian, American and even Soviets)
- Spitife Mk IX has a great deal in our game combining turning and climbing features
- Spitfire Mk IX is not available and relaunch date of resin replacement from Warlord isn't known
- A20 was widely used on the different theatres (from England, through Africa, Russia to Far East) by the different users (British, Australian, American and even Soviets)
- It is nice to have more bombers in the hangar and pick up one better fitting to the particular mission
Apart from the top three, there are some other recemendations for Roman's new projects. Let present them in the groups
