Multiengine premiere over Bremen.

I wanted to test a new models made for Blood Red Skies and - at last - multiengine (not bomber) planes . My very fresh doing was a flight of Wellingtons. I thought that it is a good idea to confront them with another planes never appreared in my game: Bf110C.
The game with my regular opponent: Srdjan took place in a Warsaw game club "Groteka".

We decided to play plain Escort Duty scenario in 1941 with 3 Wellingtons escorted by 6 Spitfires Mk IIa (4,3,3,3,3,2, three of them in High Cover). 18' away 5 severe (3,3,3,3,3) Bf110C gathered: two of them in the front and three on the portside. Both of us had a Radar support card. Spits were located in front of the party. As a faster ones I dived with all my fighters to the Zersotrers in the front, to shorten a distance and put them into the less comfortable - disadvantage - position. A leading Messerschmitt was pushed down succesfully.

A flank flight of Bf110 was taking position to attack that gave me some time.

In the second turn Zerstoeres came closer to the bombers and started to push them down. Unfortunately I haven't Robust card on hand to decrease a pressure of the enemy. However defensive fire from the bombers was succesfull beyond my expectations. Two Zerstorers was forced to disadvantage.

Meanwhile three other Bf110 from the side arrived and started to slice Wellingtons for pieces

Soon 2 Wellingtons were disadvantiged and first boom chits appreared. Meanwhile my Spitfires -never attacked by enemy fighters - started to execute deadly fire to Bf110. 2 Zerstorers going down easyly, and shortly they collected 4 boom chits.

My thoughts were with high cover Spits that were just expected. Luck was on my side. Four consecutive attacks of Bf110 were unsuccessfull. It was 4th turn, Bf110's received 2 more boom chits and my bombers reached half of a distance. Suddenly two Zerstorers came on the position and gave deadly shoot from a short distance, two Wellingtos went down one by one. The game was lost.

I was a good game. Zerstorers had shown their quality against bombers. On the other hand - in my opinion - they are useless in the dogfight due to their poor manuverability.
Wellingtons are slow, pitifully slow but Robust bombers. When the proper cards came on hand or ... alas! Hurricanes were an escort (!) the game could be end in the different way.
High cover planes stayed useless due to the fact that disadvantaged Wellingtons fell down very rapidly. Bombers shoud start a game more scattered to avoid crowd in the sky.
