My Imperial Fleet

 

I must confess, most of this ships never seen the action ... yet, but I hope it will change soon. During the COVID time some stuff come, part of them are WLG while the others came from Blitzkrieg Miniatures. I think tonight is a good time to count them all

Main ships 

Let's start with battleships. I have two squadrons of main ships: The real monster: Yamato, worth 1000pts set up by Warlord. Never saw the action and probably it stay in the harbor for good, but let the enemies fear.

 Another battleship in my fleet is Nagato. I love the Japannese design of main ships with high tower bridge. Nagato, worth 725pts is a good example of them. This model is a 3d print by Blitzkrieg Miniatures

Another squadron of my main ships is a full range of Kongo class battlecruisers: Kongo, Kirishima and Hiei. This really cheap as for a main ship (375 pts. each) could be a good choice for the Imperial force in Victory at Sea. Kongo came from WLG, Kirishima nad Hiei were made by Blitzkrieg Miniatures

 

The main ship force of my Japaneese fleet is worth 2850pts.

Aircraft carriers

The Japaneese were able to utilize the full power of Carriers in the initial part of the war. Their famous Kido Butai was invincible force for many months of the war. There are three carriers in my fleet, one is the flagship of admiral Nagumo: Akagi. This ship able to carry 17 flights is worth 250pts and came from WLG range. 

Another one is Zuikaku, the sister ship of Shokaku famous of Coral sea struggle. This ship in the games is worth 275 pts and can carry 18 flights.

The third one is the smallest one: Hosho which can carry only 4 flights but is worth 90pts. It is a good choice for the escorting duties.

The decks of carriers are full of D3A Val dive bombers, B5M Kate torpedo bombers and A6M Zero firghters. The models (IMHO much better than WLG came from Blitzkrieg Miniatures).

The Carrier component in my fleet is worth 615 pts.

Heavy cruisers

Many Japaneeese heavy cruisers were equipped with deadly Long Lance torpedo launchers.This weapon combined with heavy armamant,  high speed and maneuverability gives extreme efficiency. The good example of this idea is Mogami class. I've got full range of cruisers: Mogami, Mikuma, Suzuya and Kumano. I've used this deadly weapon with a great success in the previous battles. Each Mogami class cruiser is worth 280pts. All of them came from WLG

Another squadron of cruisers consist of Myoko and Furutaka. Myoko is similar to Mogami in terms of armament and is worth 275pts. The model was 3d printed. Another one is Furutaka, lighter than Mogami but also equipped with Long Lance launchers. This ship is worth 225 pts and came from WLG

 

The heavy cruiser force is worth 1620 pts

Light cruisers

The light cruisers were used as a leading ships for the light - destroyer - force. The good example of such ship is Nagara, light armed with value comparable to many destroyers - 70pts. The model is 3d print.

Another light cruiser is Yubari - Yamato companion of her last cruise to Okinawa. This small cruiser, is worth a bit more than the cheapest Japaneese destroyer (55pts).

The really different is Kuma class cruisers. This small ship worth 60 pts is packed with 40 deadly Long Lance launchers. Keep away of Kuma. I've got two ships of this range.

Full Light cruiser force is worth 245pts

Destroyers

This light ships can escort the convoys, work against submarines and attact with the torpedoes. None of destroyers except Japaneese can launch their torpedoes from the save distance. Kagero class destroyers (100pts each) euipped with Long Lances are very dangerous weapon. 

 Another class equipped with Long Lances are Hatsuharu range. They are lighter and ... cheaper (60pts) than Kagero but also very dangerous.

Third part of the destroyer force is a Fubuki class. Those are the lightest, equiped with differend type of torpedoes. Each ship is worth 50pts.

My destroer component is worth 570pts.The entire Japaneese fleet is worth 5700pts. (for now).
